Herbal Extracts, Education, & Plant-based Healing

Herbal Extracts

All of our herbs are ethically wildcrafted or organically grown in the mountains, valleys, and gardens of the Cascadia Bioregion. They are harvested at their peak of energetic potency with the utmost care and respect and processed by hand in small batches, fresh or carefully shade dried, using USP grade, organic grain alcohol and standardized tincturing ratios to ensure the highest quality and consistency.

We offer a dozen NW Native Formulas, several oils & salves, over 70 native or naturalized Single Herb Extracts, and an Herbal Smoke Mix. In addition to many common and widely available herbs, we specialize in botanical medicines that are not usually found in commerce today. e.g. Baneberry root (Actea rubra), Mormon Tea leaf (Ephedra viridis), Cow Parsnip root or seed (Heracleum lanatum), Western Peony root (Peonia brownii), and False Hellebore or "Veratrum" root (Veratrum viride.)

We strongly believe that, when it comes to issues of sustainability, care for the global environment, and individual health, it is of the utmost importance to use the medicinal plants that grow in one's own "backyard." Knowing that at some point this may be our only option, we have made it a priority to almost exclusively work with and sell native botanicals in an effort to expand our knowledge and increase awareness of their healing properties. In addition, not only are these herbs themselves fresher and more potent, but they retain an indefinable part of their essence and are more likely to offer deep healing benefits because they are born of the same forces that give our physical and spritual beings shape and form.

Education

Plant Teacher Circle: It is my mission in life to reestablish a connection with the plants of this land in which we live. I have been sitting with and studying the medicinal plants for many years now, allowing them to interweave their energies with my own. Allowing them to enter my nervous system and traverse the energetic pathways of my body. In this way the plants have healed me and become my teachers. They have accompanied and guided me on my path of transformation, and I am happy to invite anyone who wishes to more deeply study and put into practice the teachings that the plants have to offer to join me in this work. Check the Schedule of Events for info. on these and other class offerings.
